Description

The handmade Asian Retro rug plays with colour like modern art. A La Redoute Intérieurs design that livens up your floor and brings character to the space. Product Details • 100% wool (pile) • 4000g/m2 • Thickness: 2.2cm • Hand-tufted • Weaving type: Handmade • Underfloor heating compatible: No • Interior Use: Yes • For outdoor use: No. Quality • Wool is a warm and comfortable fibre. A wool rug is also an excellent thermal and sound insulator. • Hand-braided, each piece is unique and may have small irregularities which make it authentic.. Colours and dimensions may vary slightly. Care information • Once unrolled, you must wait a few days for the carpet to return to its initial shape. • To keep the edges flat, roll your mat in the opposite direction. Leave it like this for an hour then put it back flat and place a heavy object on it for 2 days. • New, the carpet may give off an odour which dissipates over time. Ventilate your room regularly to reduce it. • To preserve its appearance, rotate your rug regularly in one direction or the other to minimise localised wear in the same places (due to successive passages), and loss of colour due to regular light exposure. Care instructions • Some materials are very fibrous (such as wool) Wool rugs pill naturally during the first few months: this is a normal for this type of product and is not a defect. Remove the excess fibres by hand where possible, do not use a vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush as this can pull and tear the fibres. The pilling will improve over time. • For maintenance, we advise you to vacuum it very little the first month and then to vacuum it without rubbing too much always without using the brush. • Compatible with robot vacuum cleaners: No • Remove stains immediately with a clean, damp cloth. • Dry clean recommended. Dimensions • Width 120 x Length 170cm • Width 160 x Length 230cm • Width 200 x Length 290cm • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Standard 100 certification by OEKO-TEX® tests textile products for harmful substances via an independent, international label.

Our Stylist Says

I love the retro vibe of this rug - it adds a nostalgic yet fresh touch to any space. Its earthy colour palette makes it versatile, working well in both living rooms and bedrooms with mid-century or contemporary schemes. It’s especially great layered over wooden or neutral flooring, where its geometric pattern can really stand out. Practical styling tips include pairing it with minimalist furniture to let the rug be the focal point or mixing it with textured fabrics like chunky throws or velvet cushions for added warmth and depth. Keep in mind it’s easy to update a room’s look by swapping out accessories or even the placement of the rug, making it a smart choice for flexible interior styling.

About La Redoute

Founded in 1837, La Redoute brings French-inspired style and elegance to your home. From trendy pieces to enduring essentials, La Redoute provides options to create a stylish and inviting space.

A Legacy of French Fashion

La Redoute has been around for 180 years. It started as a place that made wool products and grew into a popular online store for home and fashion items from France.

They've always tried to bring the unique French style to everyone and have changed with the times, especially in understanding the changing roles of women. For them, it's not just about selling products; it's about celebrating the art of everyday living and the quintessential French "je ne sais quoi".

Sustainability and Environmental Consciousness

La Redoute's commitment to the environment and sustainability is unwavering. They have taken commendable steps like joining the Better Cotton Initiative and ensuring their paper stock comes from sustainably-managed forests.

As a proud member of the Fur Free Retailer Program, they stand against the use of real fur and certain other materials, showcasing their concern for animal well-being.

Their transportation choices, too, echo their eco-conscious ethos. By using means like barges and trains, they actively reduce CO2 emissions, highlighting their drive to make choices beneficial for the planet.

Championing Social Responsibility

Beyond its fashion-forward vision, La Redoute actively champions societal values. Their signature on the UN's Global Compact underscores their commitment to sustainable development.

They take pride in being accessible to all, with their website catering to both the hearing and visually impaired. Moreover, La Redoute's dedication to social causes is evident in their support for equal opportunities, their stand against violence towards women through partnerships like Solfa, and their endeavours to empower employees, fostering a culture of responsible entrepreneurship.
