Description

This beautifully soft rug takes inspiration from the Berber style of North Africa. Made by craftsmen from premium quality wool, it's available in two lengths and specially designed to fit corridors, narrow rooms or to act as a cosy bedside rug. Warm and comfortable underfoot, it has a naturally insulating and sound-proofing quality. Product Details. Pure tufted wool. Weight 4000 to 4200 g/m². Height of tufts: 10 to 12 mm. Some materials such as wool are very fibrous and you can actually observe a piling during the first weeks of use: this is a normal for this type of product and is not a defect. Remove the excess fibres by hand where possible, do not use a vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush as this can pull and tear the fibres. The pilling will improve over time. For maintenance, we advise you to vacuum it very little the first month and then to vacuum it without rubbing too much always without using the brush. Remove any stains immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Dry clean recommended. This STANDARD 100 certified product by OEKO-TEX® - certificate no. CQ 1102/4 IFTH - follows a certified and controlled manufacturing process which is respectful of your skin. The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is the first label that meets the needs of consumers in terms of human ecology. It guarantees the absence, in certified articles, of substances that are harmful or may present a risk to health. Sizes. Width. 80 x Length. 200cm. Width. 80 x Length. 250cm. Our Stylist Says

I love this rug for its versatile, boho-chic aesthetic, which adds warmth and texture without overwhelming a space. It works particularly well in living rooms, hallways, or bedrooms that have a neutral or modern colour palette, bringing an effortless touch of pattern and colour. Practical styling tips include layering it over a larger, neutral carpet for added depth or using it as a statement piece in a minimalist setting. Its rectangular shape makes it easy to position in front of sofas or beds, and pairing it with natural fibres or rustic furniture can enhance its Moroccan-inspired vibe. Overall, this piece is a great way to introduce visual interest while remaining easy to coordinate with diverse interior styles.

A Legacy of French Fashion

La Redoute has been around for 180 years. It started as a place that made wool products and grew into a popular online store for home and fashion items from France.

They've always tried to bring the unique French style to everyone and have changed with the times, especially in understanding the changing roles of women. For them, it's not just about selling products; it's about celebrating the art of everyday living and the quintessential French "je ne sais quoi".

Sustainability and Environmental Consciousness

La Redoute's commitment to the environment and sustainability is unwavering. They have taken commendable steps like joining the Better Cotton Initiative and ensuring their paper stock comes from sustainably-managed forests.

As a proud member of the Fur Free Retailer Program, they stand against the use of real fur and certain other materials, showcasing their concern for animal well-being.

Their transportation choices, too, echo their eco-conscious ethos. By using means like barges and trains, they actively reduce CO2 emissions, highlighting their drive to make choices beneficial for the planet.

Championing Social Responsibility

Beyond its fashion-forward vision, La Redoute actively champions societal values. Their signature on the UN's Global Compact underscores their commitment to sustainable development.

They take pride in being accessible to all, with their website catering to both the hearing and visually impaired. Moreover, La Redoute's dedication to social causes is evident in their support for equal opportunities, their stand against violence towards women through partnerships like Solfa, and their endeavours to empower employees, fostering a culture of responsible entrepreneurship.
