I’m a fan of this open‐sided Asher shelf for its clean lines and warm, neutral timber - it adds instant structure without feeling heavy. It suits Scandi, modern-coastal or pared-back urban apartments particularly well, slipping neatly into living rooms, home offices or even a kitchen alcove.
To style it, mix books (spines in and out) with low-profile ceramics or woven baskets to conceal clutter. Use plants on alternating tiers for height contrast and leave a little breathing space on each shelf - that way it never looks overfilled, and your eye moves effortlessly up and down the unit.
