Description
Made from compression moulded aluminium alloy, the Arumi suspension exalts Foscarini's ability to transform an industrial product into a unique crafted object, by finishing the lampshade by hand. The Aruni's charismatic personality is expressed via the combination of a precious style and a raw, industrial esthetic. The inside of the lampshade as well as its outside edge are carefully polished for an ultra shiny mirror finish. This luxury and sophisticated finish is the opposite of the exterior surface of the lampshade. Also hand finished, the exterior of the lampshade has a raw, matt and uneven finish. This industrial style is reinforced by three ridges that cross the lampshade, evoking the remains of a mould. The light source projects light downwards and the inside walls highlight the superb artisan polish work. The lighting is functional without blinding.
