Elegant turned wooden feet add a timeless touch that suits a range of interiors, whilst generous fibre‑filled cushions support relaxed, everyday lounging. Finished in a soft linen chenille fabric in a range of rich colours, this 3 seater sofa offers both warmth and inviting texture. Natural History Museum x Dunelm. In a time before colours could be captured visually through photography, scientists used vivid descriptions to identify them, drawing reference from elements of nature. Werner’s 1814 book of colour charts Nomenclature of Colours, which forms part of the Natural History Museum’s rare books collection, was a pioneering work that visualised colour through the vibrancy of birds and butterflies, the shades of flowers and fruit and the tones of precious gems. This classification of colour helped narrate an age of exploration, allowing Charles Darwin to tell a visual tale of his famous 1830s voyage upon HMS Beagle. It is the richness of both colour and language that has been cherished by naturalists for over two centuries and has inspired The Origins of Colour collection, which reimagines the colours of nature for your home. © The Trustees of the Natural History Museum, London 2026. Our Stylist Says

I really like the Arthur linen chenille 3 seater for its versatile and timeless appeal. Its soft, textured chenille fabric adds warmth and comfort, making it a great centrepiece for both cosy traditional interiors and more relaxed modern spaces. It works particularly well in neutral or earthy colour schemes, but can be easily styled with colourful cushions and throws for added personality. Practical styling tips include pairing it with wooden or metallic accent tables and layered textiles to soften the look. Given its classic silhouette, this sofa lends itself well to a variety of décor styles, from Scandi minimalism to more eclectic, layered interiors.
