Our Stylist Says
I’m a big fan of the Lucia chair in anthracite for its clean lines, quilted back and smooth 180° swivel - it feels right at home in a compact home office or as a dining chair in a contemporary kitchen. The deep grey hue pairs effortlessly with light oak or black metal tables, and it’s equally at ease in a Scandi-inspired lounge. For styling, add a simple lumbar cushion in a soft, neutral fabric to break up the quilting, and drape a fine-knit throw over one arm for contrast. Position it beside a slim floor lamp or a potted green plant to highlight the silhouette, and echo the black legs with other matte-black accents like picture frames or cabinet handles.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
