Description
The Plush Velvet Divan Bed Set with Upholstered Headboard blends timeless design with lasting comfort. Its solid platform top divan base ensures strength, durability, and the perfect surface to enhance mattress performance. Upholstered in luxurious plush velvet, both base and headboard add elegance and a refined finish to any bedroom. The set includes a 32" tall headboard with vertical panel design and a 28cm deep Hybrid Midnight Orthopaedic Pocket Spring Mattress. The mattress features individually nested pocket springs for personalised support, reducing partner disturbance and improving comfort. A 7-zone orthopaedic system relieves pressure on shoulders, hips, and back, while layers of luxury foams contour the body and provide bounce-back resilience. The breathable mattress core helps regulate temperature, and the soft-touch cashmere fabric with hand tufting creates a supportive and durable sleep surface. Available in all UK sizes from Small Single to Super King, this set is proudly UK manufactured to the highest standard. Base height is 30.5cm, with gliders attached it is 34.5cm. This option bed comes with 2 easy access storage drawers. Headboard can be placed in either end of the base, so you can either have both drawers facing on the right side, or left side.
Our Stylist Says
I love this divan base for its versatile, modern look and practical features. The black plush velvet finish gives it a sleek, luxurious feel that can elevate both contemporary and eclectic interiors. The built-in storage drawers add functionality without clutter, making it ideal for smaller bedrooms or those looking to maximise space. It pairs well with a variety of colour schemes, from neutral tones to bold accent colours, and works nicely in both minimalist and more layered, styled rooms. For styling tips, I’d recommend pairing it with textured bedding and statement cushions for a cosy yet sophisticated vibe, and introducing warm metallic accents to contrast with the black for added visual interest.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
