I’d call this the Arianna chest in cool grey. I love its clean lines and the mirrored top drawer - it bounces light around and lifts the whole piece from simply practical to a styling asset. It sits equally well in a Scandi-inspired bedroom, a contemporary hallway or even a chic cottage scheme, thanks to that soft grey finish and subtle spark of mirror detail.
For styling, keep it pared-back: a low ceramic vase with fresh foliage or a sculptural candle beside a small tray for jewellery. In a bedroom, top it with a slender table lamp and a round wall mirror pushed slightly over the edge of the chest to enhance the reflective theme. In a hall, swap the lamp for a slim bowl to catch keys and a mirror hung just above eye level - it’s a simple way to marry function and style.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
