Description
Designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1962 and crafted by FLOS, the Arco floor lamp is an iconic example of 20th century design that has now garnered legendary status. Inspired by an urban streetlight, Arco is a versatile, free-standing floor lamp specially designed to bring overhead illumination to a space without the need for mounted fixtures, or the having to walk around the light source. Its genuine Carrara marble base acts as a counterbalance for the arched stainless steel stem, which is adjustable up to 215cm to suit your preferences - whether casting a warming glow over a dining table or illuminating your favourite reading chair. A polished aluminium shade covers the halogen bulb, which completes this technically innovative and visually appealing floor lamp. With a contemporary structure and classic marble accents, the Arco floor lamp creates a sculptural display within its surroundings. Its influence has reached far and wide, featuring in such iconic films as 'Diamonds Are Forever', while maintaining its practicality as an ambient and direct light source that would illuminate an array of interiors perfectly.
