Description

The red Appliqueá Volet Pivotant Wall Light was designed in 1962 by Charlotte Perriand and remains in-line with today’s aesthetic. The pivoting aluminium shutter features a fold in the middle and creates different beams of light according to your needs. Combined with a dimmable switch, the light allows you to curate the perfect ambience. Charlotte Perriand is one of the most influential furniture designers of the early modern movement. Her design prowess was initially overlooked and Perriand was even refused a job at Le Corbusier’s studio. It was only when she exhibited her innovative ‘Bar in the Attic’ installation that she was able to convince Le Corbusier of her talent, resulting in an offer of a position at his studio. Features an integrated LED bulb.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wall light because of its bold red colour and functional pivoting design, which makes it both a statement piece and highly practical. It works well in contemporary or industrial interiors, adding a pop of colour without overwhelming the space. I recommend pairing it with neutral walls and furnishings to let the red really stand out, or using it in a gallery wall setup for an eclectic look. Practical styling tips include positioning it beside a reading nook, bedside table, or in a hallway for focused task lighting. Its adjustable feature ensures both style and function, making it a versatile choice for adding a touch of colour and modern flair to any room.
