There’s nothing like a stunning dining room table to create a talking point in your home, and this piece hits all the right notes. Beautifully crafted in black and natural wood, in a traditional shape and style, it features cleverly designed drawers in which the apothecarists of yesteryear would have kept their medicines and healing herbs. We, however, like to stash our placemats, napkins and tableware away so that they’re neat and tidy, but within easy reach should we find ourselves entertaining at a moment’s notice! No detail has been overlooked in the making of this table, from the beautiful cupped brass drawer handles to the traditionally turned legs. And the icing on the cake? The secret messaging inside the drawers. Open one, and the motif ‘Love at first bite’ greets you. Open another to be greeted with ‘Bon apetit’. The theme extends to the benches that accompany the table, each of which have ‘Put your bum here’ carefully inlaid into the wood. Quite apart from giving your guests a good giggle, it’s an invitation no-one can refuse – prepare for fun and laughter long into the evening. Back in 2007, on a not-so-sunny Lanzarote vacation, Lucy and Jane had a bright idea by the pool. Both loved old markets and changing up their homes, so they thought, "Why not create an online store for unique home items?"
