Description

We've made these dining chairs from sturdy beechwood in a range of painted finishes. Supplied as a pair with spindle rods forming the backrest and sleek, tapered legs, they're useful in smaller rooms and ideal if you want a quick room refresh. Create an eclectic look by mix-and-matching different colours around your dining table or keep things simple with a neutral colour block. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display. With great prices and great design, our new brand offers style and quality for modern living today. Whatever you need, there's joy to be found in ANYDAY.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of these spindle-back chairs for their clean lines and solid beech build - they bring a fresh, unfussy look without breaking the bank. The slim profile and muted tone suit Scandi, modern farmhouse or simple contemporary schemes, and the FSC-certified wood is a plus if you’re after something eco-friendly. For styling, mix a couple of cushions in natural linen or a subtle pattern to soften the seat, and team them with a light-wood or whitewashed table. They also work well as side chairs in a hallway or home office - just swap the cushions for a cosy sheepskin in winter.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
