Description

A classic coat stand built with a Scandi-inspired edge. It's made from high-quality oak veneers and plywood, with four main arms providing space for coats and hats. There's also concealed hooks in the centre which are handy for spare bags or umbrellas. We've coated the wood in a lacquer for durability and it's available in a natural or painted finish. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display. With great prices and great design, our new brand offers style and quality for modern living today. Whatever you need, there’s joy to be found in.

Our Stylist Says

The Anton coat stand is a sleek and minimalist piece that works particularly well in contemporary or Scandinavian-inspired interiors. Its slim profile and clean lines make it ideal for smaller spaces like hallways or entryways where you want functionality without sacrificing style. I like to pair it with neutral tones or muted colours for a cohesive look, but it also complements more eclectic schemes effortlessly. For styling tips, consider adding a few decorative touches on the floor underneath or nearby, such as a small basket for umbrellas or a textured mat, to create a practical yet polished entry point. Its understated design means it won’t overpower other elements in the room but will instead add a touch of modern simplicity.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
