The famous quote, 'Art Is What You Can Get Away With', popularised by Andy Warhol, is reproduced as a vivid piece of art, making a striking statement on any wall. Supplied unframed with a mount. Andy Warhol was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the USA in 1928 and after a successful career as a commercial illustrator, he became a renowned and sometimes controversial artist. He is regarded as one of the leading figures of the pop art movement and achieved a celebrity status beyond anything previously seen in the art world. In works that plundered the world of advertising, pop culture and celebrity, Warhol offered up iconic images in a comment on the banality of mass consumer culture – work that ironically made him famous in his own right. Working from his ‘Factory’ headquarters, Warhol cemented his lofty status by producing a prolific variety of art including drawings, screenprints, paintings, photographs, films and installations. Andy Warhol died in 1987, after somewhat over-extending his allotted 15 minutes of fame with an enduring legacy. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
I love this print for its bold, playful look-it's a statement piece that works particularly well in contemporary or eclectic interiors. Its vibrant pink and yellow palette adds energy to a room, making it ideal for living spaces, home offices, or even a creative nook. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with minimalist furnishings to let the artwork stand out, or mix it with other colourful accessories for a lively, curated feel. Framing in a simple mount-as this one comes-keeps the focus on the print itself, while allowing the punchy colours to really pop against neutral or subdued backgrounds. It’s a great way to introduce a pop of personality and artistic edge without overwhelming your space.
