Inspired by 15th and 16th century tapestries, this Friendly Folk cushion, from our Kit Kemp collection, shows bushy tailed creatures peering amongst hedgerows, blooming trees and rolling English hills. With a rich sense of folklore and the lyricism of rural land, Friendly Folk is made contemporary in vibrant basil green. Handmade in the UK, filled with sustainably sourced duck feather and down and complete with velvet contrast piping.
This cushion offers a fresh, vibrant green that works beautifully in both contemporary and traditional interiors. I love it because of its rich, earthy tone and subtle pattern, which adds visual interest without overwhelming. It’s perfect for introducing a pop of colour on a neutral sofa or layering on a patterned armchair for added depth. A practical styling tip is to pair it with textured throws or mix it with other cushions in contrasting fabrics to create a relaxed, inviting feel. Its size is versatile, making it ideal for both accenting a sofa, bed, or window seat - I’d recommend using it as a statement piece in a pared-back scheme or as part of a more eclectic collection for a lively touch.
