Price History
Description
Every bedroom needs a reliable home for folded clothes, and the Alton Large 6 Drawer Chest in Montana Oak and Graphite is sized to do exactly that. It gives you 6 drawers in a single piece of furniture. The deeper drawers take jumpers, towels and spare bedding, while the shallower ones suit socks, underwear and the everyday odds and ends that otherwise end up loose in a cupboard. The look is understated and current, which is what keeps a piece like this useful for years rather than seasons. Overall it measures 130cm wide, 83cm high, 39cm deep. It is always worth checking those figures against your alcove, wall or ceiling height before ordering, particularly in an older property. Keeping it clean is straightforward, which matters in a room that gets used every single day. Supplied flat packed for easier handling on delivery, with fixings and instructions in the box. A dependable everyday buy that quietly makes a room work better than it did before.
Our Stylist Says
I love this chest for its versatile mix of Montana Oak and Graphite finishes, which makes it a great statement piece for both contemporary and rustic interiors. It works especially well in rooms that benefit from a touch of warmth combined with modern edge, such as living rooms, bedrooms, or even spacious hallways. Style-wise, pairing it with neutral textiles, metallic accessories, or lush greenery can elevate its look. Practical tips include using the dark top drawer for items you want to keep out of sight or the bottom drawers for seasonal clothing or linens. Its sizeable design also offers excellent storage, keeping your space clutter-free while adding visual interest through its contrasting colours and clean lines.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
