Price History

Description

Our Allie Flush Ceiling Light features a trendy smoke finish that adds an industrial edge to any room it is fitted in. The flush design is perfect for illuminating homes with low ceilings, whilst the 4 individual lights shine downwards, creating a direct light that provides a moody atmosphere. The overall design is both modern and stylish, making it a great addition for homes that feature a contemporary aesthetic.

Our Stylist Says

I love this ceiling light because it combines a sleek, modern look with a touch of glamour thanks to its smoky glass and geometric detailing. It works particularly well in contemporary or industrial-inspired interiors, adding a sophisticated statement without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with minimalist colour schemes to let the light's design stand out, or using it in rooms with high ceilings where its bold form can truly shine. For best effect, hang it in living areas or dining rooms for a striking focal point that elevates the overall aesthetic.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
