Designed to suit a new generation, the APC swaps wood for plastic, marking a significant advancement in the functionality of chairs of this type. APC is composed of one piece of high performance polypropylene that constitutes the frame, while the thin seat surface is organically shaped, ensuring the chair is moulded to comfortably support all users. The All Plastic Chair's backrest is also more finely modelled than more conventional chairs, connected to the frame by twin shafts cushioned with rubber buffers, contoured to support the back and flex gently in response to the sitter's movements. The highly durable plastic used to create the All Plastic Chair is resistant to sunlight and water, making the chair versatile and suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings. Using two types of plastic, the chairs' frames are in darker hues, while the seats and backrests are a subtly different nuance of the same colour, lending the design a distinctive, contemporary aesthetic.
