The Yale Fabric armchair from Alexander and James is a classic tub chair, but instead of leather it’s in a choice of gorgeous fabric upholstery. This roomy armchair is in the classic Chesterfield style with a rolled back and lavishly deep hand-buttoning on the seat and over the back. The luxurious scroll arms have hand studding detail on the front, showing off their elegant lines. A zig-zag sprung seat, solid hardwood rails and traditionally turned weathered or dark oak feet make sure this chair will feel and look good for years to come. This chair looks very different depending on its upholstery. We have linens, a subtle herringbone and velvety fabrics to choose from in a wide selection of colours. Top Tip: To keep your fabric sofa or chair looking good, plump the seat and back cushions and any scatter cushions regularly, and – where possible – turn and rotate to ensure even wear. Plumping and rotation is important as interiors settle over time, and some fabrics can show wear on areas of more use or in direct sunlight. Using a soft brush or vacuuming with the curtain attachment weekly prolongs the life of fabric upholstery. Ideally clean professionally annually.
