It was designed for Alessi by Luigi Massoni and Carlo Mazzeri, a design duo who have come together to create various products for Alessi, their most famous being the 870 cocktail shaker which was first designed in 1957 and is still being made to this day.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
