Description

Alesia Rechargeable Mushroom Table Lamp - Blue

Our Stylist Says

This quirky little lamp is a fantastic addition to contemporary or playful interiors, adding a pop of colour and a touch of whimsy. I love how its mushroom shape and bold blue hue bring a fun yet functional vibe to bedside tables, desks, or even children's rooms. Practical styling tips include pairing it with minimalist furniture to let the lamp stand out, or place it alongside complementary colours such as soft greys or whites for a fresh look. Its rechargeable feature means you’re not limited by power outlets, making it versatile for both indoor and outdoor use on patios or balconies. This lamp is all about adding personality while providing cosy, adjustable lighting - ideal for creating a relaxed environment with a modern touch.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
