There is nothing more classic than a traditional oak bed. They are beautiful and timeless. The Alderley Oak bed is inspired by the classic farmhouse country style beds. The beautiful natural wood grain is emphasized by a simple lacquer, giving you that cosy rustic farmhouse look we all love. This is a super sturdy bed that will stand the test of time unlike cheaper pine versions, which usually have an 'oak finish' as opposed to being made from real solid oak wood. The strong sturdy features of this bed extend further beyond the frame, the bed has thick solid wooden slats, and a thick metal central support bar. The metal support bar design means there are no extra feet underneath the bed frame, making it perfect for under-bed storage. The low footboard design of this frame gives a visual feeling of more space in the room compared to a high footboard style.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
