This small canvas plaque features 'Paracelsus (The Philosopher's Familiar)' artwork by the popular Alchemy Gothic of London. A black cat sits amongst thorned roses in this stunning, greyscale piece. The digital watermark will not appear in the print design.
Our Stylist Says
The black cat canvas makes a striking statement piece, especially suited to gothic, eclectic, or modern interiors with dark, moody colour palettes. I love how it adds an air of mystery and sophistication without overwhelming the space. It works well displayed solo in a minimalist setting or paired with vintage or metallic accents for a more layered look. For practical styling, consider hanging it at eye level above a console table or in a gallery wall to create a focal point. Because of its size and monochrome design, it’s also versatile enough to work in smaller spaces like a reading nook or a cosy corner, adding character and intrigue.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
