Description

Alana is a statement chandelier with an industrial twist, bringing a fantastic urban style to your interiors with a practical spread of light thanks to the 9 light structure. With a combination of black cable and copper accents, this stunning piece is perfect for use over a dining room table or as a statement piece in the bedroom, giving a distinctive industrial theme to the space. This fitting features 9 lights in a 2 tier structure, so you’ll be sure to get a fantastic coverage of light within the interior that gives an ambient, yet still practical style of illumination to your home.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Alana Chandelier for its modern yet timeless appeal with its copper finish and sleek design. It works particularly well in contemporary or industrial-style interiors, adding warmth and a touch of sophistication. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with minimalist furniture and neutral tones to make the chandelier stand out, or introduce contrasting textures such as velvet or glass for added depth. Practical tips include installing dimmable bulbs to adjust the ambience and positioning it in spaces like dining rooms or foyers where it can serve as a statement piece without overpowering the room. Overall, it's a versatile light that combines form and function beautifully.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
