I’m a fan of this slate-and-white display cabinet because its clean lines and neutral palette slot easily into modern, Scandinavian or minimalist schemes. The left-hand configuration makes it ideal for filling a corner or balancing larger furniture on the right, while the mix of closed storage and open display means you can hide clutter but still show off ceramics or small plants.
For styling, group a few vases or art books on the open shelf and add a slim LED strip underneath to highlight your pieces. On top, keep décor simple - perhaps a small tray for keys or a sculptural object - to maintain that uncluttered look. Pair it with light oak or ash-wood furniture and soft textiles in natural tones for a cohesive, contemporary feel.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
