With AKA by famous designer Konstantin Grcic, the functions intertwine: is it a chair, a stool or a sculpture? The designer plays inventively with hybridisation. Finding its balance on three legs, Aka consists of a single piece of curved beech plywood. AKA showcases the designer's deep cabinetmaking craftsmanship, with an absolute drive towards sustainability. The sculptural, iconic silhouette truly inhabits the space, leaving a profound mark in the mind of the viewer. Once again, Grcic's humanistic approach to design meets formal rigour to offer us a simple object that interprets the fundamental principles of design with intelligence and a touch of irony.
