Description

One of the foremost designers of mid-century French modernism, Jacques Adnet was celebrated for his avant-garde style, innovative design and unusual mix of luxurious materials such as integrating metal, glass and leather. Crafted in 1946, the Adnet mirror perfectly exemplifies his look, which was inspired by the work he was doing at that time for Hermés. The simplicity of the design - a single circle of glass, hung by a durable leather strap - is balanced by the warmth of the leather, making it a modern piece that will complement an array of interior schemes. The leather, produced and hand-stitched in Italy, is tanned by artisan craftsmen, using vegetable tannins, and this process is entirely natural and environmentally-friendly.

Our Stylist Says

This bloke’s a smart choice for adding warmth and texture to a range of interiors. I love how the tan leather frame gives a softer, more approachable feel compared to typical metal or wood options, making it perfect for cosy bedrooms, living rooms, or even a boutique entryway. Its round shape introduces a gentle organic element, which works well with both modern minimalist schemes and more eclectic, layered spaces. For styling, try hanging it above a console table or sideboard to create a focal point, and consider layering with other accessories like vases or artwork for added depth. Just ensure it’s placed at eye level for maximum impact and practicality.
