The Adamo is a beautiful sculpture created by the Swedish artist Kristiina Haataja in collaboration with Cooee design. A simple design combines with an organic and raw surface to create an aesthetic full of elegant contrasts to give the piece a sense of austere timelessness. The name Adamo refers to the first individual and to the creation of humanity. Symbolically, Adamo means "a man" in the sense of what it means to be human — literally it implies being made of earth, just as the original man was breathed into life from clay.
