Designed in 2017 by Mads Odgård for Danish lighting producer Louis Poulsen, the Above Pendant in black is an overtly simple design with a subtle matte finish. Providing bright downward light with a subtle upward emanation, the Above Pendant Light showcases an open-top arch detail that adds dimension to the pendant and reveals its simple suspension cord. Crafted in Denmark from aluminium with a matte-finish black paint, the Above Pendant Light was created for Louis Poulsen, a Danish lighting manufacturer founded in 1874. Through collaborations with renowned designers and architects such as Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton, Louis Poulsen has established itself as one of the leading architectural lighting producers in the world.
