Description

In the year of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, we reimagined a rare antique designed for Westminster Abbey for the coronation of King George VI. The dipped seat pad has remained, but it’s been given a modern makeover with a longer back panel and extra padding for added comfort. The characteristic carved hoof feet add charming detail that elevate the design from simple to sophisticated. Truffle velvet gives the piece a refined look, which is enhanced by a passementerie trim that frames the bottom of the seat.

Our Stylist Says

I love this chair for its versatile mix of textures and neutral tones, making it a practical yet stylish choice for various dining spaces. The rich velvety finish elevates the overall look, adding a touch of luxury without feeling overly formal. It works particularly well in contemporary interiors, but can also complement rustic or Scandinavian styles when paired with natural wood or neutral décor. For practical styling tips, consider layering with textured tableware and soft textiles like throws or cushions to create a cosy feel. Its understated design acts as a neutral anchor in the room, allowing flexible styling options without overpowering other design elements.
