I’m a fan of this rustic oak coffee table for its blend of warm timber and slim metal frame, which gives a soft industrial edge without feeling heavy. The three drawers are ideal for stashing remotes or magazines, while the lower shelf can hold baskets or stacks of books to keep the surface uncluttered.
It suits everything from farmhouse-inspired living rooms to minimalist or mid-century schemes. Style it simply with a low tray for drinks, a small plant or vase, and a couple of coffee-table books. Pair with a neutral sofa, textured cushions and a natural-fibre rug to balance the wood’s warmth.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
