Description

This fabulous Aalto Cross Arms LED Flush Ceiling Light in satin black is a beautiful contemporary piece that would fit seamlessly homes with modern decor. Using integral LED both money and time are saved whilst providing a soothing glow. As it is a flush light fitting, it will have no issue fitting in cleanly with rooms that have low ceilings. With its brilliant modern design, this light can be perfectly suited to any living or dining room.

Our Stylist Says

I love this ceiling light because of its contemporary, minimalist design and versatile satin black finish. It works particularly well in modern interiors, especially in open-plan living spaces or bedrooms that favour bold, statement lighting with clean lines. Its cross-arm design offers both visual interest and efficient illumination, making it a practical feature as well as a stylish one. When styling with this piece, consider pairing it with muted colour palettes or industrial-inspired decor to highlight its sleek silhouette. Practical tips include installing it above dining tables or in living areas to create a focal point, ensuring the arms are positioned to optimise light distribution without overwhelming the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
