The legendary AA Butterfly armchair is available in a new Batyline canvas, even more resistant to bad weather (resistant to sun, rain, sea, etc. ). Rot-proof and waterproof, this washable canvas is easy to look after. Timeless and legendary, the Butterfly armchair was created in 1938 by architect-designers Jorge Ferrari-Hardoy, Juan Kurchan and Antonio Bonet, Butterfly. It has survived the changing times and styles to become a classic inscribed into the collective memory. A true icon, it has been part of the permanent collections of MoMa since 1944. This armchair is clearly inspired by the Modern movement illustrated in France by the work of Le Corbusier: extreme sobriety, geometric, functional lines, use of steel etc. The AA Butterfly armchair consists of a painted steel tube frame onto which an interchangeable canvas or leather cover is threaded. The AA Butterfly armchair subtly combines form and function in an elegant marriage of minimalism and efficiency. A true invitation to laze around, AA Butterfly is ideal for setting up a relaxation area that’s perfect for long discussions in your living room or garden. As the cover of the AA Butterfly armchair is removable, you can buy interchangeable covers separately to alter the look of your armchair in the blink of an eye! An AA Butterfly certificate is delivered with the structure with a reference number. Made in France, this high-end reissue scrupulously respects the spirit and quality of the original model designed in 1938. AA Butterfly is the registered trademark name of AA New Design.
