Description

Painting from the work of James Joyce has been significant for the artist, and this original painting takes inspiration from the Penelope chapter of Ulysses. About the artist Philip Maltman is an abstract artist shortlisted for the John Moores painting prize. Born in Ayrshire, a historic country on the coast of Scotland, he is known for exploring the littoral zone through his work - the area of shoreline where the sea meets the land.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this flower of the mountain piece for its bold yet natural palette, which makes it a versatile addition to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in modern and minimalist spaces where it can provide a splash of colour and visual interest without overwhelming the surroundings. For practical styling, consider pairing it with neutral furnishings to really let the artwork stand out, or incorporate similar shades in accessories or soft furnishings for a cohesive look. Its compact size also makes it suitable for smaller walls, hallways, or beside a reading nook - places where a statement piece can truly enrich the space without dominating it.
