An iconic design originally conceptualised in 1938 by Finnish designer Paavo Tynell, the 5321 Table Lamp is expertly crafted by Gubi. Lending a touch of romance and playfulness to traditional mid-century design, the brass seashell-shaped lampshade and the illuminated bulb evoke images of pearls resting in the deep sea. Decorative and functional, the 5321 Table Lamp is accompanied by a brass base, rattan-covered stem and brass-hued textile cord cable for a truly luxurious finish. Renowned for his influence on modern lighting design, Paavo Tynell originally trained as a blacksmith before founding his own metalwork and lighting studio in 1918. With a simplified aesthetic, his pieces echo influences from mid-century modernism, showcasing counterweighted suspension mechanisms and beautiful complementary materials in appealing forms.
