Description

Originally designed by Charlotte Perriand between 1952 and 1956 and expertly crafted by Cassina today, the 527 Mexique Coffee Table features a refined walnut and black finish. Showcasing a triangular-shaped surface crafted from beautifully grained solid natural American walnut, the ergonomic table rests on three matt-black metal legs for minimal clutter and maximal legroom. Born in Paris, architect and designer Charlotte Perriand is one of the most influential furniture designers of the early modern movement. Renowned for her discovery and use of new materials, Perriand worked closely alongside Le Corbusier throughout her illustrious career.

Our Stylist Says

The 527 Mexique is a sleek coffee table that works well in both modern and mid-century inspired interiors. I love its organic, asymmetrical shape combined with the warm walnut finish and slim black legs-this creates a sense of understated sophistication. It’s versatile enough to sit with neutral-toned sofas or be a statement piece amidst more vibrant furnishings. For practical styling, consider keeping the surface clear with a few carefully chosen accessories, like a stack of books, a small plant, or a tray to corral bits. Its shape offers flexibility for layering rugs underneath or arranging seating around it, making it an easy staple for a contemporary living space.
