Description

Designed by Ilse Crawford for Studioilse, the Low Settle bench is a recognisably traditional form with a contemporary edge, crafted from Danish-oiled white oak and 'naked' leather as a familiar yet carefully detailed piece. With a base crafted from structurally strong Danish-oiled white oak, the Low Settle bench is generously sized and an ideal length for using either alongside a dining table or as a relaxed seating option, with a premium natural brown leather seat pad and copper feet. The pad is fixed to the frame by purpose-made holes in the seat. Studioilse is renowned for its human approach to design. The Low Settle bench in beautifully finished white oak and leather was created as part of the brand's 'Seating for Eating' series, designed with the intention of bringing people together, and accented with a lower-level backrest for a more relaxed aesthetic.

Our Stylist Says

I love this bench for its sleek, understated design and natural materials. The Danish oiled oak gives it a warm, inviting feel, while the leather seat pad adds a subtle touch of luxury and comfort. It works particularly well in both rustic and contemporary interiors - think hallway waiting areas, dining spaces, or even as additional seating in a living room. For styling, consider pairing it with cushions or throws that complement the leather tone, or try placing it alongside a modern dining table for a cohesive look. Keep the surroundings simple to let the craftsmanship and natural wood grain shine through, making it a versatile piece that balances function with understated elegance.
