Description
Designed by Ilse Crawford, the 443 Walnut Bench is a familiar form with a contemporary edge. With a base crafted from structurally strong Danish oiled walnut, the bench is generously sized and an ideal length for seating alongside a dining table. The strong, clean lines of the bench are offset with the soft presence of the natural brown leather seat pad and copper feet. The pad is fixed to the bench by purpose-made holes in the seat. Naturally finished with no artificial sealants or waxes, the leather presents the true form of the fabric, soft, supple and more beautiful with age. Three holes in the bench allow the pad to be secured to the bench. Studioilse is renowned for its human approach to design. The 443 bench was part of the brand's 'Seating for Eating' series, designed with the intention of bringing people together.
