Our Stylist Says

I love how this 3000 Watt outdoor heater combines practicality with contemporary style, making it an ideal focal point for outdoor spaces. Its sleek black finish and rectangular shape lend themselves well to modern, industrial, or minimalist aesthetic schemes, and it works particularly well in patios, verandas, or outdoor dining areas. When styling with this heater, consider pairing it with weatherproof furniture in neutral tones to create a cohesive look, while adding cosy textiles like outdoor rugs and cushions for warmth. Practical tips include installing it high on a wall to maximise heat distribution without cluttering the space and pairing it with ambient outdoor lighting to extend evening gatherings comfortably. Overall, it’s a functional statement piece that enhances both form and function in any outdoor setting.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
