The straightforward lines work equally well in contemporary city pads or cottage-style gardens, and the warm brown hue pairs nicely with pale linens or muted greys.
For styling, add weather-resistant cushions in a contrasting shade to soften the slats and toss a lightweight throw over one arm. A small lantern or cluster of glass jars down the centre, plus a couple of potted herbs on the lower shelf, will complete the look without overcrowding the set.
