I’ve found these walnut ladder-back chairs really versatile - the warm, medium-toned wood and simple lines suit both contemporary and more traditional schemes. They work well in a Scandi-inspired dining space alongside a light oak table or even mixed with metal-framed pieces for an industrial edge. For a cosy feel, swap the grey seat pads for textured linen covers or drape a small sheepskin over the back. In tighter layouts you can tuck them under a narrow console for occasional home-office seating, then pull them out around the table when guests arrive.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
