Designed in 1950, the 2065 Pendant Light emphasises designer Gino Sarfatti's innovative, experimental approach, brought to life by Astep. Consisting of two joined opalescent shapes making an oval light diffuser, the light is formed from methacrylate, a polymer plastic much lighter and stronger than glass. The material was key to Sarfatti's design process, allowing a better suspension for the pendant. The pendant is complete with a black aluminium canopy and cable. Founded by Alessandro Sarfatti, Astep combines the domestic landscape and experience with the latest technology, honouring evolution in design. A third-generation design entrepreneur with a legacy dating back to 1939, Sarfatti champions new designers and re-imagines icons, embracing fluidity and adaptability. Requires: 5x max. 12W LED E14 470lm 2700. K dimmable bulbs (included).
I love the 2065 pendant light for its clean, understated silhouette and modern charm. It works particularly well in contemporary and minimal interiors, adding a sculptural element without overwhelming the space. It’s versatile enough to sit above dining tables, kitchen islands, or even in a bedroom for a subtle centrepiece. For styling tips, consider pairing it with other minimalist fixtures or using dimmable bulbs to control ambience. The neutral tones make it adaptable to various colour schemes, and hanging multiple pendants at different heights can create a striking visual impact in larger spaces. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that can effortlessly elevate a variety of interiors with a touch of modern elegance.
