Our Stylist Says
I love these solar-powered metal ball lanterns for their sleek, contemporary look that adds a modern touch to outdoor spaces. They work really well in patios, garden seating areas, or even along a pathway, bringing ambient light without the hassle of wiring or replacing batteries. Stylistically, they lend themselves to a minimalist or industrial aesthetic, but can also soften rustic settings. A practical tip is to hang them at varying heights to create visual interest and maximise their glow in the evening. They’re versatile enough to pair with other lantern styles for a layered lighting effect, and their durable, weather-resistant construction makes them ideal for year-round outdoor use.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
