Specially designed by Richard Schultz to withstand the corrosive salt air at Florence Knoll's home in Florida, the white 1966 Outdoor End Table is produced to this day by esteemed manufacturer Knoll. Since its inception, the 1966 Collection has earned a special place in the world of outdoor furniture and is considered a classic design for the garden. Today the table has been re-engineered to incorporate the best modern materials and features a white porcelain enamel table top supported by a welded aluminium frame with a weather-resistant polyester powder-coated finish. A worldwide success as soon as it was released by Knoll in 1966, the 1966 Outdoor End Table was immediately made part of the MoMA Design Collection and has won several coveted accolades such as the 1969 Stuttgart Design Centre Award.
