Description

Charmingly precise, the Dekon Coffee Table is a feature for the centre of any living space, with angles that create pleasant continuity between the glass panels. The extra-clear glass used in this structure allows your decor to flow and creates harmony with asymmetric geometrics. The Dekon Coffee Table is designed by Karim Rashid, and can either sit on the floor or on raised feet. Our Stylist Says

I love this smaller glass table for its sleek, contemporary look that makes it a versatile addition to a range of interiors. It works particularly well in minimal or modern spaces, adding a subtle elegance without overpowering other design elements. Its transparent surface creates a sense of openness, making it ideal for cosy living rooms or even as side tables in a bedroom. For styling, try pairing it with textured fabrics or metallic accents to add visual interest. It's perfect for holding a statement lamp, a small stack of books, or a cluster of candles, creating a functional yet unobtrusive focal point. This piece is especially useful in compact spaces where you want stylish functionality without disrupting the flow.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
