I’m a big fan of the wire coffee table with its slim metal base and oak top - it feels light underfoot and adds instant texture without overwhelming a room. Its black frame and neutral wood finish slot effortlessly into Scandi, industrial or contemporary schemes, especially when paired with muted fabrics and geometric accents.
To style it, keep your centrepiece low-profile: a slim tray with a candle and a small plant works well, or stack a couple of design books offset by a sculptural ceramic. The open base means you can layer a patterned rug beneath for extra interest, while still retaining plenty of visual space around your seating.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
