Description

The Paloma charcoal saffron yellow knitted cotton cushion has a super-soft handle and updates a sofa or armchair with its classic colour and subtle texture. The cosy and tactile cushion is available in other colours, together with matching Paloma throws, and is exclusive to Habitat. A soft cushion pad included.

Our Stylist Says

I love this vibrant saffron cushion for adding a pop of colour to neutral or monochrome interiors. Its knitted cotton texture gives it a cosy, inviting feel, making it perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, or even a breakfast nook. The size works well layered on a sofa or bed, and it pairs nicely with both linen and smooth textiles for mixed textures. For practical styling tips, try pairing it with complementary cushions in muted tones, or stack it with textured throws to create a laid-back, inviting look. Its bright hue can lift a subdued colour palette or serve as an accent in more eclectic schemes.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
